JOE ROYFFE followed up a 4 lb 8 oz 8 dr stripy with another specimen in the form of this 4 lb 4 oz sergeant.

As we reported, Joe scored with a 4 lb 8 oz 8 dr fish recently. And Cheshunt, Hertfordshire-based Joe again tackled his local River Lea with legered lobworm, connecting into the fish at first light.
After his previous fish, Joe told Angler’s Mail: “I reckon the chances of a 5 lb-plus fish coming out of the river are quite high.
“My PB stripy is 4 lb 14 oz 8 dr which I had last November, and I reckon that one could well go five-and-a-half by the spring.
“Mind you I spent the rest of last season trying to hook another big one with no joy at all so they can be hard to locate,” he concluded.
