MATTHEW BAYNES had to move three times at club lake in Surrey before he found the fish before he landed crucians of 3 lb 14 oz (a personal best), 3 lb 4 oz 8 dr and 3 lb 1 oz 8 dr.
The 34-year-old maintenance technician from Chichester, West Sussex, added several tench to 6 lb using small flatbed Method feeders at 35 yards with Sonubaits F1 groundbait and 2 mm pellets.
Hookbaits were either single artificial casters or 6mm S pellets.
Matthew said: “The two largest crucians came at the same time and were braced in the same net.”
