BARRY CUSHING cradles one of the country's biggest golden orfe - scaling a whisker under 7 lb.
Barry topped a very prolific session at Surrey’s fine Newdigate Fisheries with this 6 lb 15 oz golden orfe.
Tenchfishers member Barry added others of 6 lb 10 oz, 5 lb 8 oz, 4 lb 15 oz and 3 lb 6 oz plus eight tench from 4-6 lb.
Ewell-based Barry fished red maggots with a helicopter feeder rigs with a size 16 hook.
Newdigate is located near Dorking and there are nine lakes spread over three different farms.
Aside from some very large orfe, the waters stocks also include carp, crucians, roach, bream, tench, catfish and pike.
Day tickets start from £10 for adults (there are concessionary rates too) and you need to book first before arriving.
