LEE COUPE left it until late in the river season to smash his perch PB twice in an amazing day.
Self-employed Lee, from Nottingham, tackled his local River Trent and he included giant perch of 4 lb 2 oz and 3 lb 14 oz (pictured above).
Lee explained: “I’m still absolutely buzzing. What a day on the river.
“I had seven perch over 3 lb and broke my PB two times. Happy days!
“I was ultra light jigging using my Gunki ML 2-10 g rod and Gunki floating Grubby shad teamed with a 4 g stand-up jig head.
“I had two smaller perch and a pike too,” he added.
