FANCY catching huge roach? Then the fish of your dreams could be yours...
Anglers will be able to target potential record roach with ace fishing guide Phil Spinks.
The top all-rounder is set to start guiding on Norfolk’s prolific Homersfield Lake.
The venue previously could only be fished by syndicate members or people booking a holiday lodge.
Now Phil is the go-to man to get to grips with the water.
Record roach are possible at the venue Phil Spinks caught these stunners.
Last spring, Phil stunned the angling world with a catch of six three-pounders in one session. They are pictured above.
But there’s much more to this wonder water… Phil recently nabbed a 40 lb 14 oz common and a 39 lb 2 oz mirror in an eight-carp haul.
Owner Martin Symonds explained: “I have been fortunate enough to know many of the leading anglers in the UK over the last 40 years and without doubt I class Phil as one of them.
“These tutorials, each up to 24 hours, will give the angler the chance to not only fish here at the lake as a non-member, but also the chance to learn from a truly great angler.
“Phil can be seen in Angling Direct’s videos explaining the latest fishing equipment and showing how to catch our roach.
“On top of his historic roach bag topped by a 3 lb 12 oz specimen, he has caught carp to just over 40 lb, tench to 10 lb, bream to 15 lb and Wels catfish from here.”
Record roach potential is clear
Martin continued: “Our member Ken Fuller landed a great roach of 4 lb 3 oz last year and plenty not far off 4 lb have been recorded in recent times.
“Since March, guests staying at Kingfisher Lodge have had some great catches including two guests landing a total of 22 carp with a 46 lb 8 oz mirror and a 44 lb common, followed by five 30s, ten 20s and five doubles.
“Other guests, in their week’s fishing, had carp up to 38 lb, roach over 3 lb and tench up to 9 lb.
“Staying at the lodge allows up to two people to fish from three designated swims, with a maximum of two rods per person.
“The Lodge is fully booked until the end of October this year but we are now taking bookings for the winter and the 2019 season,” Martin added.
