The 2016 fourth Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) Invitational Fishing Championship takes place on Sunday, July 10.

It’s being held again at the impressive 100-acre fishery, Manor Farm Fishing Ltd, Biggleswade, Bedfordshire. And ticket details are below.

AM COVER JUNE 21

Danniella Allfree, the darts walk-on girl, has been getting some pre-match coaching from Angler’s Mail magazine columnist and reigning PDC fishing champ, Steve Collett. Here she is on the AM print mag cover.

This spectacular 24-angler charity tournament features famous sportsmen and women, celebrities and corporate guests all competing for the coveted trophy whilst supporting Haven House Children’s Hospice.

Darts god Phil Taylor is lined up to swap his arrows for rods and seven times PDC major champion James Wade plus the ‘king of bling’ Bobby George are also there from the ‘arrers’ scene, along with walk-on girl Daniella Allfree.

Daniella (seen above) has been practising, and she features in this week’s Angler’s Mail magazine, showing fine skills alongside Steve Collett. Be sure to read the feature – you will be surprised!

PDC contest nets celebs from sport and screen

It’s not just about darts stars. Snooker legend Steve Davis OBE, Welsh cue wizard Mark Williams MBE, who is also a very keen angler, and 2015 World Snooker Champ Stuart Bingham will be there.

Keen carp angler, founder and chairman of Matchroom Sport, Barry Hearn is ready to fish. Can he put fish in his net like he whips soundbites out when he’s promoting sports? We shall see…

Angler’s Mail also hears there will be a team of boxers including Anthony Crolla, the current WBA lightweight champion. Nobody would argue with their chances!

Steve Davis (left) will be there again at this annual PDC special event. He'll be trying not a lose a big carp like he did last year.

Popular EastEnders actor Jake Wood is back, having caught his very first fish in the 2015 PDC event. He plus The Only Way is Essex reality star Ricky Rayment and big funnyman Ricky Grover are amongst competitors taking part this year.

2015’s winner, Angler’s Mail magazine’s popular columnist Steve Collett, will be returning to take part to see if he can keep hold of the title. The AM team and readers, who know how good he is, will surely be backing Steve for victory… but the draw and tactics on the day could put anyone in the frame!
