THREE pals shared an astonishing haul of big zander in just two days while on holiday.

The trio’s catches in their successful Sweden fishing trip were topped by this giant zander scaling 19 lb to Neil McGilchrist (above).
Fishing at Lake Sibbo, Steve Miller chipped in with an impressive 18 lb predator and Rob McDonnell notched zeds to a hefty 13 lb.

Roofer Neil, 58, from Matching Tye, Essex, said: “We booked up a guided day with Andy Lo of Big Fish Sweden and we had 37 zander with most fish over 10 lb, all taken on vertical rubber jigs.
“And the following day, self-guided on a hire boat, we had 17 zander.
“There are also big perch shoals but they were not feeding plus huge pike been taken in the past.
“My personal best zander before this trip was 8 lb but I normally barbel fish in the UK.
“We are all mates from years back and do the Cuba fly fishing trips with old hand Jack Simpson through Angling Direct,” concluded Neil.
