ALL-ROUNDER Matthew Fernandez celebrated ‘catch a crucian’ month with a superb haul of ten specimens from Surrey’s Johnsons Lake including eight three-pounders to 3 lb 14 oz.
The 29-year-old precision engineer from Southampton, Hampshire, put his fine crucian catch down to accurately Spombing at 30 yards.
Fed via his Spomb was Sticky Baits Krill Active mix, pellets and pure Krill liquid, maggots and hemp.
He used running 35 g Drennan inline flat Method feeders with Drennan size 16 Super Specialist Wide Gape hooks with two white buoyant plastic casters to help evade nuisance fish.
