LEE SPILLARD enjoyed a hectic first day back on the water when he caught this 20 lb pike in a huge haul of predators.

A Strike Pro Miuras Mouse, after some work with a Garmin device, lured a shared 30-fish catch from Cumbria’s Lake Windermere.
Tackling up just after angling was back across England, Lee used a sophisticated Garmin sonar that displays a 3D image of a swim.
Lee said: “After a full day of preparation, the boat was packed and the alarm was set for 3am.
“I had a secret weapon in the form of a Panoptix LiveScope, which is essentially a real-time fishfinder, showing exactly what is happening below the surface.
“It wasn’t long before we’d identified the baitfish, and could even see hoards of jack pike smashing into them on the screen. The action was instant!”

What is a Garmin Panoptix LiveScope?
The Panoptix Livescope was launched in the summer of 2018. A full kit still has an asking price of over £1,700 mark.
Owning one is hardly cheap, but they are very highly rated by users seeking an edge via technology, especially on bigger waters.
Amazon, who have shifted plenty all over the world, say: “Clearly, this is the most amazing sonar technology ever.
“You have never fished like this before. Panoptic LiveScope is live, real-time scanning sonar.
“You can actually see easy-to-interpret live scanning sonar images of fish swimming near clearly defined structure.
“You can even see your lure as you retrieve it. And your boat doesn’t need to be moving.
“These images are so clear and precise that with a little practice, you might be able to distinguish between species of fish!”
